Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
I’m a mom to 3 adventurous children (ages 10, 7 and 4) and one sweet rescue dog. I’m a scout leader and an avid patron of our local parks and hiking trails. Even as much as I love to be outside, I’ve found that leading our busy lives in this media dense culture has led me to have to make a conscious effort to make sure my family has time outside to explore, play, observe and create connections with science. My formal education is in the field of education- undergraduate degree in music from FSU and my M.S. Ed. from Hunter College. I’ve taught music and I’ve taught in the elementary classroom for many years. This movement to connect children with nature and learning is something that I am very passionate about. I hope that you will join us as we play and learn outside!
