Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
I spent a ton of time playing outside when I was little, especially in a grove of azalea bushes around my house. This backyard fort became my magical world of color and imagination. Like many in our generation, whose memories of childhood are connected to outdoor places, I want to pass my love of nature on to my kiddos. Let’s teach our children that, “Nature is not a place to visit. It is home” (poet Gary Snyder). I have a dual Master's in Elementary and Special Education and have worked as an early childhood educator for 10 years. I'm a mom to two clever, sweet, and funny girls. I stumbled upon Tinkergarten while looking for a homemade play dough recipe (Forest Putty was my muse!). I am thrilled to be a part of Tinkergarten's incredible team of awesome leaders. I also happen to love coffee, my Kindle, photography, hot sauce, spin classes, a clean house, my husband and cat, and more coffee! Let’s go outside!
