Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
Heather's early childhood was spent in the leafy woods of central Virginia, and after moves to Texas, Japan and England with her military family and work as an English as a Second Language teacher, she found her way back to the lush forests of North Carolina. Whether it was English for international students, or dance and natural movement for seniors and children, Heather has been a teacher for the last 12 years. After having her son and daughter, Heather began exploring child development and positive parenting, and loves watching how kids' brains work. During the week, she works at Pinewoods Montessori as a Primary Assistant Teacher. Heather lives with her family in Hillsborough where they go out on adventure hikes as often as they can, and is excited to see you in a Tinkergarten class soon!
