Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
I’m a born and bred New York City kid! I have an MA in Teaching, certified in Childhood Ed & Performing Arts. Growing up it could be tricky to find nature spaces to play in, so I’d sometimes sneak into my own building's yard, or over a fence at the park just to find some dirt & trees to play on. I loved spending childhood summers with friends & family upstate, on the Jersey shore, and in the Berkshires. Last year I started leading Tinkergarten classes in the green spaces of our neighborhood, after seeing my own children thrive in forest and nature classes. My fall season class was out at the amazing Landing Lights field, and winter classes were held at the community garden in Jackson Heights. Now that spring is underway it's been wonderful to see and hear the birds return, and the flowers begin to bud (not to mention all of our explorers and guides flourish as we engage in nature every week!) In addition to leading Tinkergarten classes, I have a background in theatre, bilingual ed, and am also a mama.
