Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
Hello (explorers), My name is Sara Brunner. I am excited to bring Tinkergarten to the Hillsboro, Oregon areas. Here is a little about me: I am a proud parent of 4 sons, ages 11, 9, 6 and 3. I love teaching, outdoors, nature, working on a pottery wheel, and spending time with my boys. (My parenting reflects those interests as I help my active sons grow through outdoor exploration.) I myself have grown up in the mud. As a kid I made my own "kitchen" out of pallets. I would gather different types of ingredients to make creations, and I even made a 3 tier wedding cake out of mud! I also loved making a "chocolate" candy factory with my feet as the beaters, not to mention the huge accomplishment of building a tree house. These were favorite memories I will never forget!!! Now, as a mom, I have learned that outside play is more important than ever for our children. I love to explore and I allow my boys to get dirty and be creative, especially as we explore the woods around our neighborhood. I look forward to leading Tinkergarten and observing, watching, and sharing the awe and wonder of what our little “Explorers” will be finding. I would love for you to join this outdoor adventure!
