Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
I have worked with young children for over 25 years, in a variety of localities & capacities. My fondest parenting memories are of the endless hours "tinkering" with my son Odin as a young child, amidst the green hills & rocky beaches of Thames, New Zealand as well as the mountains & waters of the Gila Wilderness (Odin is now a teenager & he will be my Tinkergarten assistant). I believe the most profound gift our children offer us is given unintentionally through their often constant demand to be in the moment; to live for the NOW. I have worked for most of my career with children who are deaf & am the current administrative leader at a Reggio-inspired preschool program. I am a certified Forest School educator (Forest Schools Canada), as well. My life-long love of nature & the combination of my professional experiences, philosophies & personal interests makes Tinkergarten feel like a perfect match! I am very excited to bring Tinkergarten to my community, as well to children who are Deaf / Hard of Hearing both in Central / Northern NM.
