Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
Jennifer Moncuse has been leading Tinkergarten since Spring 2017. She is also a singer-songwriter of both Celtic-Rock and children's music and teaches with Music Together, a worldwide children's music program. Jen also teaches music each year in Litchfield as part of the town's summer camp program and spent a year teaching music PK-8 at Immanuel Lutheran School in Danbury. Jen enjoys traveling and exploring the outdoors as much as possible, is an herbalist and soapmaker, and loves to collect and craft using the things she finds in nature. She approaches nature with childlike wonder and loves working with children in a way that fosters their unique style of learning. Her teaching style has been described as laid-back, gentle and organic. She is excited to be part of the Tinkergarten program!
