Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
I’ve been working with kids in formal and informal education settings for the last decade. From summer camp to after school programs, special education to nature centers one thing is certain - bearing witness to the joy children find in discovery is what fuels me as an educator. It is in the moments where joy is palpable, magic abounds and when awe takes the reigns that I feel I am in the presence of true learning. Currently I am working on a Masters in Ecological Teaching and Learning, which is allowing me to study best practices in making education engaging and relevant for today’s learners. However nothing has taught me more than becoming a parent. I moved to Albuquerque in 2013 and became the stepparent to a natural tinkerer. I have watched him navigate and discover the world from toddler to a big second grader and he has been a great teacher to me. This past May we welcomed my son into this world, who now guides me daily through his developmental leaps as I watch astonished and proud. I want to ensure that their spark for learning always shines bright! I truly believe that engaging them in programs like Tinkergarten is going to feed that flame. I am so excited to bring this opportunity to our community and local landscapes, where we can explore together what makes learning joyful, magical and awesome.
