Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
Growing up I was so lucky to have a Dad who, at every opportunity, would show all the kids in our circle the nature around us. Whether we were at a baseball game, on a nature walk, or just hanging out at our house, he would show us slippery and slimy critters, point out animal tracks, and teach us bird calls, among numerous other nature-related activities. Binding these learning experiences into our day-to-day lives brought a sense of wonder and curiosity to our normal routine that has stuck with me throughout my life. On top of that I also have an amazing Mom who is extremely creative, and displays her warmth and love through her craftiness. She would make every holiday filled with homemade decorations, crafts, and treats, and spend weekends creating with us, anything from play-doh to sewing outfits. Being blessed with such wonderful parents instilled very deep beliefs in creating magic everyday, and a love of the natural world. I never thought twice about it until I had children of my own and realized that the magic I experienced as a kid didn’t just happen, it was created by my parents. From that point I have been determined to create, in my own way, the same experience for not only my children, but all the kiddos in my community. When I found Tinkergarten I knew I had found exactly what I had been dreaming of, a place where I can show my love of nature (and love of life!), while also teaching our little ones about the beautiful world around them. Let’s all get together, have fun, play, learn about nature, and build a community of friends together.
