Tinkergarten provides high-quality early childhood learning in the healthiest classroom of all—the outdoors. Families connect with trained leaders in their local community for play-based kids classes that help develop core life skills, all while having fun!
My most precious childhood memories reside in a rustic summer camp in the mountains of Georgia, where my dearest friends and I hiked, camped, and explored the beautiful natural world around us. My first career was a public school teacher, followed by a policy advocate for teachers in the non profit world. Missing my direct connection with kids and the outdoors, I then became a wilderness field instructor in the Pisgah National Forest of North Carolina. If not for the inspiration it gave me to become a therapist for children, I may never have left such meaningful and beautiful work. Now, as a mother, I love nothing more than spending time outside with my children, and I am thrilled to share this passion with other families in the Triangle.
