Community is at the heart of Tinkergarten, and we deeply care about the health and wellness of all of our families. There is nothing we feel more strongly about than safely getting families together outdoors again for Tinkergarten’s Creativity season, and the good news is, we have a plan to do that in your community.
At the current moment, the COVID-19 situation continues to evolve. Guidance and safety requirements at the state, local, and park levels are coming into sharper focus every day. We also see that reopening is starting to happen, though it’s progressing at different speeds in different parts of the country.
Given how the situation is evolving, we believe that it is best for us to take a gradual and flexible approach to opening our classes. Therefore, we will begin to open Tinkergarten classes on a rolling basis on or after August 1st, and we will do so based on each community’s readiness and the requirements of each class location.
Since March, we have been hard at work listening to and learning from expert agencies and individual experts about safety in the COVID-19 environment. We have also used our team’s expertise and creative approach to learning to derive new, kid-friendly ways to help children and families learn to keep safe while still experiencing the joy, wonder and connection that defines our shared experiences at Tinkergarten. Through this work, we have enhanced our curriculum and developed a 5-part approach to safety for our Creativity 2020 season (learn more).
We believe more than ever that the work we do to bring families outside to learn together is essential, and that families will need Tinkergarten as soon as locations are ready for us to safely hold classes.
